Former Airside Director of London Heathrow and Gatwick airports
Tim Hardy is the former Airside Director of London Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Tim implemented airport collaborative decision making (ACDM) at Heathrow, which brought about a significant improvement in the operational efficiency of the world’s most congested international airport.
He has also been the aerodrome licence holder at Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton airports, responsible for slot capacity analysis and for chairing the seasonal capacity declaration discussions with airline users, slot coordinators, air navigator service providers (ANSP) and UK Department for Transportation (DfT). Tim continues to apply his expertise in a part-time role as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board for the Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR) Deployment Manager, overseeing EU airspace and airport congestion issues.
He is highly involved in a range of projects for Nyras directly relating to capacity management and slots, and airport advisory. Some of his key assignments include:
- Leading a Worldwide Airport Congestion Study.
- Leading A-CDM assignments at Stansted and Luton airports.
